The vows come later. This question comes first.
Some moments deserve no audience. Just the two of you, a beautiful small saloon boat, a host or hostess who stays discreetly out of sight, and a skipper who lets the city drift by. The proposal happens exactly when you want it, at sunset on the Amstel, beneath the Magere Brug, or quietly on a deserted canal where only the water listens.

The experience
What does a wedding day on the water feel like?
You have the ring. You have the moment in your head. What's missing is the setting, a place as remarkable as the question itself.
We arrange the boat, the flowers, the dinner, the champagne and the discreet host or hostess who ensures everything runs smoothly without ever stepping into view. You step aboard, the quay falls away, and the city becomes yours for three hours.
The proposal happens exactly when you want it, as you set off, in the middle of the Amstel, or quietly beneath the last bridge before dinner. The host or hostess stays in the background, the skipper shares a smile, and beyond that there is only water.
After the yes: lunch or dinner at the table, bubbles by candlelight, and a slow journey back through the city. Optionally, friends or family wait ashore for a surprise celebration, or not, and you keep it to yourselves until morning.

No, we work entirely discreetly. The booking runs through you, and on the day itself it feels like an ordinary private cruise until the moment you choose.
Can I choose the exact moment?
Yes. You discuss your preferred moment beforehand with your wedding coordinator, a specific bridge, sunset, or simply 'whenever it feels right'. The skipper and host or hostess coordinate accordingly.
What if she says no?
Then you'll still have enjoyed a beautiful lunch or dinner on the water. The boat and the care are there regardless.
Can a photographer join?
Yes, preferably on a second sloop that stays at a distance, so the moment itself still feels unwatched.
What happens in bad weather?
The saloon boat is fully enclosed and heated, so the proposal and dinner go ahead in almost any weather, only the outdoor moments move indoors.
Which locations can we depart from?
We choose a quiet, discreet jetty that suits your moment, for example along the Amstel or a quieter canal, in consultation with your wedding coordinator.
How many months in advance should we book?
For a three-hour private cruise, 2 to 4 months ahead is usually enough, though we recommend more margin for a specific date or time.
Can you accommodate dietary requirements?
Yes, the lunch or dinner on board is tailored to any dietary requirements you may have.
Availability
How far in advance should you book?
Peak Saturdays from May to September are typically booked twelve to eighteen months in advance. We accept a limited number of weddings per season.
