If you already have a plan and are looking for the finishing touch that makes the day truly unforgettable: the standalone boat. Drinks or dinner on board while moving between venues is efficient, affordable and a wonderful addition to the flow of the day.

A two-hour transfer including arrival time, for example from ceremony venue The Grand to a party venue along the Amstel. Dinner, drinks or lunch on board during the sail. Perfect as an addition to a day otherwise celebrated ashore.
The experience
What does a wedding day on the water feel like?
You've booked the ceremony venue. You've booked dinner in a canal house or along the Amstel. What's missing is the hour in between, the hour when guests normally sit in taxis and the atmosphere briefly disappears.
The standalone boat fills that hour with something no one forgets. Guests board at the ceremony venue, a glass of bubbles placed in their hand, and the city is literally carried past them towards dinner.
Along the way: circulating canapés, an open bar, a DJ or live pianist if you wish. Or quiet, just glasses and the city. Two hours, quay to quay, with just enough time to see everything guests want to see.
On arrival at the dinner venue: guests step off in exactly the right mood, already with the first bubbles enjoyed, already with the first stories shared, already with the wedding truly under way.

What do couples ask us most often?
From an official ceremony on board to dietary wishes, sound, accessibility and changes in guest numbers, speak directly with our planner for any other questions.

Yes, we do this as standard. Our wedding coordinator arranges boarding and disembarkation with your wedding planner and both shoreside locations.
Where can the boat moor?
For most central shoreside locations (canal houses, Amstel venues, castle venues in Amsterdam), a suitable jetty is available within walking distance. We find the best spot.
What if we have more than 60 guests?
We sail in convoy, two or three boats at once, the same route, the same atmosphere on board.
Can it also be just a drinks moment without a transfer?
Yes, then it becomes a drinks cruise, and the saloon-boat-partial-day arrangement may suit better.
Is a ceremony or official act possible on board?
This transfer is designed as a move between two existing locations; a legally valid marriage ceremony on board fits better with our saloon boat or sailing ship arrangements.
Can you accommodate dietary requirements?
Yes, even for a short transfer we tailor the canapés or light dinner on board to dietary needs.
How is music during the sail arranged?
Background music is standard on board; a solo pianist, guitarist or roaming saxophonist can be added as an upgrade.
Is the boat accessible for guests with reduced mobility?
With assistance, yes, via a gangway when boarding and disembarking. Let us know in advance and we'll choose jetties with level access on both sides.
How many months in advance should we book?
For a two-hour transfer, 3 to 6 months ahead is usually enough, provided the ship is still available for that date and time slot.
Availability
How far in advance should you book?
Peak Saturdays from May to September are typically booked twelve to eighteen months in advance. We accept a limited number of weddings per season.
